The perfect Bali Weekend Part I: Relaxing & Dining at Le Méridien, Bali
I already mentioned that we celebrated our last weekend in Bali in a very special way. We wanted to enjoy the real vacation feeling for a last time. So we packed our bags and drove to the Le Méridien Hotel in Jimbaran.
That saturday was filled with pure relaxation at the pool and a great seafood BBQ in the evening, joined with a spectacular sunset.
In this article I want to show you our best pictures of the Le Méridien Hotel and I also want to share my impressions of our stay.
When we entered our room, I felt in love with the design immediately! This room is so full of light thanks to the white walls and bright furniture. It’s so comfortable! My personal highlight is the super cosy bed with that cute blue-white decor at the roof. The lamps next to bed are a homage to Jimbarans fishermen, who have exactly these kind of lambs on their boats.
The bathroom is quite big and equipped with a bath tub in the middle of the room. You’ll find all amenities you need, even a make-up mirror 😉 .
Our room was on the fifth floor with a view all over the hotel and the pool (and a bit of the sea). The rooms on the ground are the special ones, because from their terraces you can directly jump into the pool.
The hotel area is quite small and clearly arranged. The atmosphere is very privat, due to only 102 rooms.
The pool goes around the whole area and is very huge. It’s filled with processed salt water from the indian ocean, which is by the way one of the sustainability methods the Le Méridien Jimbaran takes care of.
You can find so many art around the hotel, from drawings to figures and music.
Before our stay we read in the internet that the breakfast is average. But in our opinion this is absolutely NOT true! Le Méridien offers such a variety of food, that I would rather call it a brunch. From eggs in thousands variations (freshly made for you), to pastries, Sushi, salmon, cheese, pancakes and so on and on and on… There is nothing to be missed. You really feel the french influence because of the big amount of pastries, like croissants, apple pies, danishes etc., yummy!
The hotels café WaLa offers perfect Gelato (you have to try this, even if you are not a hotel guest – just look for the Gelato “car” in front of the hotel), really good Illy Coffee and their signature Eclairs.
Every saturday night you can enjoy a seafood BBQ on the rooftop bar named Smoqee. Jimbaran is famous for its seafood BBQ so this is a must! For a fixed price we got freshly grilled squid, clams, prawns and fish filet. Additionally you can grab as much salads, bread and sauces at the buffet as you want. Of course there are also many delicicous desserts and one glass of wine or beer per person.
During our dinner we had that perfect Bali sunset.
Fun fact: There are several beach front seafood BBQ restaurants directly in front of the Le Méridien, which produce a lot of smoke from their grills. Depending on the wind, this smoke might go over to the hotels rooftop bar, which is named Smoqee just because of this. But don’t worry about the smoke, the hotel invented a special water wall to protect the guests from it.
The Le Méridien Jimbaran is a very nice, new and private hotel. It offers all comfort of a high price hotel, but you can get it for an affordable price. The design is so stylish which is quite unique in Bali. The staff is very friendly and is happy to assist you with any kind of request.
In cooperation with Le Méridien.
