Macau Travel Diary Day 2: Food Festival & Partying
Even if we are still struggling with the jet lag, we managed to do some things from our Macau travel bucket-list.
It’s soooo great to leave the hotel and enjoy this warm and sunny weather! This is luxurious…
After a walk through the portuguese area around our hotel, the Riviera Hotel on Macau, we went to the Food Festival nearby the Macau Tower. I was so excited to attend this foodie heaven on earth! We tried several specialities from all over the world and saw some culinary curiosities as well. My personal highlight: BBQ Prawns on a stick with wasabi mayonnaise – sooo delicious!
It’s saturday night, so we decided to go out. We started with a dinner in one of the several portuguese restaurants. In the Boa Mesa restaurant close to the Lago do Scenado square, we enjoyed great mediterranean food (sometimes we forget that we are still in asia…).
Afterwards we explored the really huge and really beautiful casino at the Venetian Hotel. It reminded us of Las Vegas, but actually everything is more modern and even more glamorous than in Vegas.
The most famous Club of Macau, Cubic Club, is near by and located in the building complex City of Dreams. Of course we had to get to know the chinese party people and spent our party night at the Cubic Club.
